It’s snowing sunday! Have some scones and vanilla candle reading a book. What can be better? Here comes recipe! *I added dried cranberry (photo above)
- prep time : under 30 min
- potion: 8 st
- 4 dl flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2ml salt
- 50 g butter
- 2 dl milk
- cheese or marmalade, for serving
- preheat oven at 250°C.
- Bland flour, baking powder, any of the flavorings (see Tips below), and salt in a bowl. Grind the butter or margarine into flour mixture. Add milk and mix quickly into a sticky dough.
- Spoon out 2 cakes, 8 buns or a length on a baking sheet with parchment paper (for 8). Bake in middle of oven 10-12 minutes.
- Serve scone freshly baked with cheese or jam.
Suggested seasonings for 8 scones:
1 cup dried fruit such as apricots, figs, raisins, cranberries, blueberries and goji berries
1 cup nuts or almonds
1/2 g saffron and 1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cardamom seeds support and 1 tsp sugar
